The country megastar will star as “Maria von Trapp” in the The Sound of Music this December, and young stars who will play the children Carrie looks after in the live stage production are now being cast.
A variety of different youngsters auditioned in groups with Carrie, and photos of Carrie and the kids during final callbacks have just surfaced online.
Meanwhile, Julie Andrews, the iconic actress who made the role of “Maria” famous in the 1965 film version, is throwing her support behind Carrie, saying it’s “probably time somebody else had a crack at it.”
