Before he dropped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to sing “Balls In Your Mouth” (more on that in a second), the country megastar and “Accidental Racist” singer sat in on Piers Morgan Live to discuss Paula Deen and her recent racial slur scandal.
“I don’t know enough about what she really did,” he says, “but what’s obvious to me is that this is just about the touchiest subject there is.”
Brad goes on to say singing about racism is unlike singing about any other topic, adding singing about racism sparks a ‘how dare you speak for us’ mentality from listeners.
Brad then hopped over to Late Night for a lighter discussion and duet on the host’s BP oil spill protest song – in lieu of new developments in the ongoing case.
And for obvious reasons, the other BP surely had some fun with “Balls In Your Mouth.”

Tonight Brad heads to America’s Got Talent to perform his new single “I Can’t Change the World.”
