The country megastar reveals to People magazine not even the judges know Ryan Seacrest’s results secrets before the live shows.
“I don’t know how the voting works out,” he says. “I prefer it like that. I love the raw energy of it all.”
And don’t expect Keith Urban to cause an upset on the show.
“We’re artists talking to a young artist on camera in front of millions of people, trying to give constructive criticism in a way that doesn’t humiliate them,” he says. “I don’t ever want to humiliate somebody.”
When Keith’s not on Idol, he’s jet setting around the world keeping up with his superstar wife Nicole Kidman and two young daughters.
He says his “kids got to play with their friends [in Nashville] they hadn’t seen in a while” before they flew to London to see mom, who’s shooting a film in London.
Keith’s back on Idol Wednesday night when the final 8 perform for America’s votes.
