the-band-perry-pioneer-album-artThe Band Perry is spilling its guts on the new album Pioneer.

The sibling trio, who appear on the new issue of Billboard magazine, reveals what Pioneer helped them to discover about themselves.

“We kind of got gut level as a family and as a band,” front woman Kimberly says, “and we said what’s the most important thing? Is it the fame? Is it the fortune? And it was always just, no, it’s making the right album, making the most honest album we can. That’s ultimately the beauty of Pioneer.”

But the journey only begins there.

Kimberly, Reed and Neil explored new sounds with initial guidance from legendary rock producer Rick Rubin, and they say they re-wrote every song on the album at least four times.

Pick up TBP in Billboard now, and get Pioneer when it hits stores April 2nd.
