Forget rhinestones and cowboy boots! This weekend on CMT Hot 20 Countdown Wynonna Judd is revealing how she’s changing it up on the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars.

In the exclusive Hot 20 interview, the country icon dishes on how her fashion is coming into the light.

“I’ve been wearing black since I was a kid. So it’s not about size, it’s about Johnny Cash,” she says. “The very first dance I’m in cream and very pure.”

The singer’s decision to lighten up has mom Naomi’s full support.

“My mother has kept on me about ‘Color, color, color, you have such a vibrant personality.’ And I’m like, I’m sure we’ll do color.”
