Ricki Lake is getting the boot from daytime television.

After a nine-year hiatus from daytime TV, Ricki made her comeback with Ricki, but due to disappointing ratings, the show has not been renewed for a second season.

“I am so proud of the shows we completed this season,” Ricki says. “I will continue to be an active and passionate voice for subjects that are close to my heart… and return to my documentary filmmaking work.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show was down “an average of 42 percent  compared to her lead-in show” in the last two weeks alone.

Ricki premiered September 2012 during an influx of daytime talk show debuts, including Katie, Anderson Live and The Jeff Probst Show.
