Newly engaged Brantley Gilbert made his first starring role on the small screen during Wednesday’s Nashville, but not without some acting pointers from fiancé Jana Kramer.

The country rocker told CMT Jana, who starred in One Tree Hill before becoming a bona fide country star, “knows what she’s doing.”

“She definitely had some pointers, but, you know, the part was playing myself so it wasn’t all that hard,” Brantley joked.

The country couple recently announced their engagement, and now Jana’s showing off the rock.

She shared a photo with People, revealing the five-carat round-cut ring set in white gold with diamonds embedded in the band.

No wedding plans have been announce yet.
