Ladies who lunch take time away to invite their biggest fans battling brain cancer to the table.

At least that’s what Taylor Swift did recently when she got word friends of 17-year-old fan Kayla Kincannon, who has been battling brain cancer for the past year, exhausted efforts to get her attention.

After countless emails, tweets and Facebook posts, the megastar flew Kayla to Tennessee for a leisurely lunch.

“Cannot believe I just had lunch @taylorswift13 today,” Kayla tweeted. “I was enchanted to meet you! Lol”

Kayla’s date wrote in an online blog that Kayla had “the best day ever.”

Word of this encounter isn’t the first good deed from the singer, who also just donated 2,000 books to her former hometown hospital in Pennsylvania.
