Carrie Underwood may belt “I don’t even know his last name” in one of her biggest hits, but when it comes to her hubby’s last name, “Mr. Underwood” just won’t do.

The country megastar reveals in the new issue of Allure magazine that she feels bad when the press refers to her husband, superstar hockey player Mike Fisher, as “Carrie Underwood’s husband.”

“It made me feel awful,” she says. “Somebody works real hard to make a name for themselves, a respectable name, and then it’s ‘Mr. Underwood….’”

If Carrie had her way, she’d probably just called her husband “Prince Charming.” She goes on to explain in the mag why women tend to sacrifice so much for relationships.

“We want that person to be everything we’ve always wanted,” Carrie says. “If they’re not Prince Charming, we try to make them Prince Charming. But Prince Charming does exist! I found one.”
