At last night’s People’s Choice Awards, Taylor Swift was elected Favorite Country Artist… and the leader of the free world, too.

Host Kaley Cuoco told the crowd the number of votes cast for this year’s show totaled 475 million, more than three times as many cast during the recent presidential election.

“So according to a loophole in the Electoral College,” Kaley joked during the show’s opening moments, “it’s official — the President of the United States is Taylor Swift.”

During Madame President Swift’s acceptance speech for her Favorite Country Artist win, a familiar interruption from presenter Olivia Mun may have hit a little too close to home for Taylor.

“This always happens,” Taylor quipped, referring to her notorious 2009 interruption from Kanye West at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Taylor dazzled on the red carpet in a plunging white gown with cap sleeves… And when we say plunging, we mean plunging.
