miranda-lambert-on-redbook-jan-2013Miranda Lambert may look polished and pretty on the new February cover of Redbook, but inside she reveals why she’s really just an over-protective bad guy.

The country megastar tells the mag when it comes to her limited time with hubby Blake Shelton, she wears the pants.

“I’m more protective,” Miranda says. “Like, he will talk to anyone, sign anything, take a picture with everyone. And if I don’t stop it at some point, it ruins our whole night. I have to be the bad guy. The people are like, ‘Oh, God, don’t mess with her. She’ll murder people.’”

But it’s not all bad girl all the time for Miranda. In fact, she also mentions she has moments of insecurity.

“I’m normal. I’m a girl. I have PMS, and I get emotional,” she says. “And I’m sad sometimes, and that’s it. I feel like I got over the hump of trying to be like, ‘I have a chip on my shoulder, I’m strong all the time,’ you know? Because no one is.”
