jake-owen-on-stage-2New dad Jake Owen put a pretty big bow on 2012 and the CMT Tour by raising $125,000 for children’s charities.

The money raised at the final show of “CMT On Tour: Jake Owen - The Summer Never Ends 2012″ in Jake’s hometown of Vero Beach, Florida, benefits the Jake Owen Foundation, which supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Autism Speaks, the Mardy Fish Foundation and other youth organizations in Indian River County, Florida.

More than 6,200 people attended the final show of the CMT Tour, which had a record number of consecutive sold-out shows thanks to Jake and headlining acts Love & Theft and Florida Georgia Line.

“A huge thank you to everyone in Vero Beach Saturday night for an awesome show and helping us raise money for such a great cause,” Jake said. “I can’t think of a better way to end the CMT Tour and this amazing year!”

Jake hits the road with Jason Aldean’s “2013 Night Train Tour” in the New Year.
