Kelly Clarkson recently announced big news that she’s getting married, but without country friend Blake Shelton, Kelly’s fiancée may not have put a ring on it at all!

Here’s the six degrees of separation… Kelly’s soon-to-be hubby is Brandon Blackstock, who is the stepson of Reba McEntire. Now Reba used to co-host the ACM Awards with Blake, whose career is managed by fiancée Brandon.

Make sense? It does to Blake, who recently told Hollyscoop that he deserves all the credit for getting Kelly and Brandon hitched.

“I told Brandon, ‘Man you need to grow up and you figure out that you need to marry this girl,’” Blake said.

The country superstar even gave Brandon a little incentive to pop the question to Kelly.

“I am going on the record saying I will do the music at the wedding or whatever [they] want to do,” he says. “I’ll be that guy. I will play for four hours if I have to.”

Looks like Blake will have to follow through with his promise and be Kelly and Brandon’s wedding singer.  Or will it be Kelly’s future mother-in-law Reba?

Reba joked around with Kelly on Twitter this week, posting “I’m singing at the wedding, right??”

Kelly tweeted back, “Obviously! My request is ‘Let’s Get It On’ by Al Green. That’s not awkward, right?”

Whether it’s Blake or Reba who gets the honor of singing and Kelly’s nuptials, it sounds like it’ll be a good time regardless.
