Dierks Bentley is dreaming of a dry Christmas, just like the ones he used to know.

The country music star reveals to reporters that his memory of Christmases past is one of some pretty hot holidays.

“We’d ride four-wheelers and horses and just kind of spend it out in the middle of the desert,” he says, “which was kind of a cool way to spend Christmas.”

Dierks grew up in Arizona, and that meant his white Christmas turned dry.

“[We] would go out to the desert and bring a big turkey and just kinda have a cookout in the middle of the desert. That’s just the way we did it out in Arizona.”

Once the Bentley family wraps this Christmas holiday, Dierks is headed out on the road with Miranda Lambert for the “Locked and Reloaded Tour,” which kicks off Jan. 17 in Columbia, South Carolina.
