Not so fast… People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive is taking a break from acting!

Channing Tatum is instead focusing his time and talents on a new project.

“By the end of next year,” he says, “[my partner and I are] going to shut things down and write the first thing that we’re going to direct. We’re going to be like, alright, no more acting parts for a minute, let’s take a few and really get caring about that section of our career.”

But fear not, Channing fans! He has a few projects still brewing before he steps behind the camera, including a role as “Evel Knievel” in a biopic and even a Magic Mike sequel!

The swoon worthy star has stared in five films and has at least another four in the works for 2013.
