Miranda Lambert went back to basics this Thanksgiving by taking to the woods to capture her family’s Thanksgiving meal, and she took her hubby Blake Shelton with her.

Blake revealed to People magazine how his wild wife caught a wild hog for Turkey Day.

“Miranda is the real deal,” he says. “It’s so impressive to see this hot girl walking out of the house with this bow and arrow and shooting things with it. I love it.”

On Thanksgiving Day, the self-professed Hunger Games lover tweeted, “Baby it’s time we got back to the basics of love … first time in the woods this season. & with BS. Wild hog for thanksgiving #katnissforever”

But Miranda and Blake weren’t the only country superstars hunting in the woods this holiday.

Luke Bryan also tweeted a photo of himself hunting in 19 degree weather in Iowa.
