Carrie Underwood’s one million Twitter followers read an interesting exchange with her hockey hubby Mike Fisher this weekend.

Mike joked that, because the NHL is still in a lockout, he pocketed some of the money in Carrie’s purse, of which he kept hold while Carrie took to the stage to accept her recent American Music Award nod. 

“Oh, I noticed…but that’s what sugar mamas do,” Carrie tweeted, “They give money to their unemployed trophy men! #iaintsayin‘he’sagolddigger”

Mike may be out of work with the NHL, but he’s still getting accolades.

Carrie also tweeted a photo of a “Best Purse Holder” miniature trophy, made especially for Mike. But it’s all in good fun.

In fact, according to www.hockeyzoneplus.com, Mike has raked in $25.6 million since joining the NHL… so we’re thinking he doesn’t need a sugar mama that badly.
