Turkey day turned into a birthday for Jake Owen and his wife Lacey, who welcomed their first child Olive Pearl Owen on Thanksgiving.

Baby Owen, who will go by her middle name Pearl, weighed 6 pounds and 3 ounces and measured 19 1/2 inches long.

“Lacey and I are so excited to start our own family,” Jake says. ” We are looking forward to teaching Pearl everything we learned from our parents and also learning from her.”

Jake and Lacey revealed on the 46th Annual CMA Awards red carpet they would name their baby Pearl after Jake’s godmother, who passed away a few months after the newlyweds learned they were expecting.

The CMT On Tour headliner will return to the road Nov. 30 in Chicago, Illinois. In 2013, he and Thomas Rhett will serve as the opening acts on Jason Aldean’s 2013 Night Train Tour.
