Blake Shelton may already be in the Christmas spirit with a new holiday album and upcoming TV special, but when it comes to what he’s getting wife Miranda Lambert this year, he’s just an ole Scrooge.

The country and TV superstar told E! News he wouldn’t dare blow his money on Miranda.

“I don’t know if you realize, but Miranda Lambert is rich,” he says. “And I’m thinking, ‘What can I get her that she doesn’t already have?’ So I’m thinking maybe a card. Or maybe I’ll make her something, draw her a picture or something like that.”

We’re pretty sure Blake was just joking. After all, Blake is a self-admitted “moron who’s cranking up Christmas music in April.”

His album Cheers it’s Christmas is available now and his TV special Blake Shelton’s Not So Family Christmas premieres Dec. 3 on NBC.
