The CMA Awards brings together celebrities of all kinds, including country stars and Hollywood actors like.

But when Tim Allen showed up to this year’s show, he nearly found himself in a country kerfuffle with Blake Shelton.

The former Home Improvement star dropped by the Tonight Show with Jay Leno to dish on what almost got him in trouble with the Shelberts. 

“I got to sit behind Blake Shelton… The acts were tremendous. This girl Miranda Lambert… she kicks butt! It was the best song! I stood up [and clapped]. [Blake] stands up and goes, ‘I’m going to tap that after the show.’ I’m being a guy… I go, ‘Yeah, me, too, buddy.’ He goes, ‘That’s my wife.’ I go, ‘Let me finish… let me finish.’”

Tim was presenting at the CMAs to promote the second season of his new show Last Man Standing, which precedes Reba’s hot new show Malibu Country Fridays on ABC.
