Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and when it comes to who Jason Aldean would invite to the table for dinner, he’s keeping it in the family.

While most name the superstars as their dream dinner guests, Jason tells CMT he wants his grandfather.

“He died when I was about 12,” Jason says. “The older I get, the more I’d like to ask him about. He was a fleet champion boxer in the Navy, so obviously, a very interesting guy.”

Jason also wouldn’t mind sitting down for supper with his grandmother.

“I’d like to see her. I’d like both of them there, actually,” he says. “It would kind of be like a whole grandparents’ dinner party.”

After the holiday season, Jason will kick off his 2013 Night Train Tour in Bossier City, Louisiana on February 21st.
