    Posted: Nov 19, 2012

The Twilight franchise didn’t disappoint at the box office over the weekend, grossing $141.4 million since opening Thursday night.

The three-day reign of Breaking Dawn Part 2 is nearly equal to that of Part 1, and just below the franchise record-holder, New Moon.

If estimates hold, the earnings of the vampire flick will be the eighth-largest opening weekend on record.

Skyfall held up, Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln made an impressive wide-release debut and Wreck-It-Ralph held steady.

    1. The Twilight Sage: Breaking Dawn Part 2 – $141 million
    2. Skyfall – $42 million
    3. Lincoln – $21 million
    4. Wreck-It-Ralph – $18 million
    5. Flight – $8.6 million
    6. Argo – $4 million
    7. Taken 2 – $2.1 million
    8. Pitch Perfect – $1.26 million
    9. Here Comes The Boom – $1.2 million
