• VIDEO: Did Hunter Hayes Inspire a Song on Taylor Swift’s Album?

    Posted: Nov 15, 2012

Is fellow country star Hunter Hayes the newest subject of a Taylor Swift break-up anthem?

If there is, Hunter surely doesn’t know about it.

The country newcomer served as an opening act for Taylor in the beginning of his now superstar career, but he revealed to MTV News that their acquaintance didn’t warrant a Taylor song of scorn.

“No, I didn’t hear anything,” Hunter says. “I didn’t hear any songs about opening acts, so I would say no. Maybe the next one.”

In fact, Hunter tells MTV that he and Taylor exchanged nothing but good vibes.

“She’s super cool,” he says. “I remember the first night I opened for her… I get off stage and I see this tall shadow and I’m like ‘Is that her?’”

The tall Swift shadow had nothing but good words for Hunter.

“She was really complimentary and turns out she had sat there and watched the whole show from stage side and I just thought that was really cool. That meant a lot to me.”

Hunter’s currently on tour with another blonde, Carrie Underwood. The Blown Away Tour rolls into Michigan and Illinois this weekend.
