After a reported deal with Enrique Iglesias fell through the cracks, longtime Idol judge Randy Jackson has an official invitation to re-join the show as a judge for the 12^th season of the popular FOX show.

Original Idol judge Simon Cowell tweeted his approval of the decision. “Just heard randy is back on idol. Right decision,” he posted.

Reportedly, execs wanted Enrique to take Randy’s seat at the judging panel, but an agreement could not be reached.

(Speculation is the Latin star was asking for an eight-figure paycheck to join the show.)

Rumored to join the panel next is country superstar Keith Urban along with rap renegade Nicki Minaj, alongside already confirmed judge Mariah Carey.

Insiders reveal AI will announce its new judges once and for all before the end of the week.
