• Did Little Big Town Almost Quit the Music Biz?

    Posted: Sep 11, 2012

Little Big Town’s highly anticipated new album Tornado is out everywhere today, but before the storm started raging, did the fantastic foursome almost quit music?

Even when times were tough for LBT, the band’s Karen Fairchild reveals to the Tennessean that giving up just wasn’t an option.

“When we look at each other in the eye and we say, “˜Let’s not do this anymore,’ then we’ll stop,” she said. “But no one else gets to tell us that. No label. No publisher. No anybody.”

And not even a growing family can retire the Town. No matter how big the numbers get with new marriages and new babies, the band can always count on one thing: they will travel on one bus!

“It was a commitment we made to each other as we grew,” member Phillip Sweet says. “We were working so hard, and we were together.”

The tough times and the growth gave birth to the band’s brand-new disc Tornado, which features the already No. 1 summer smash “Pontoon.”

Also out today… Kix Brooks’s debut solo album New To This Town, Bucky Covington’s Good Guys and Aaron Lewis’ The Road.
