• The Box Office Gets Possessed

    Horror flick The Possession scared its way to the top of the Labor Day weekend box office charts…

    The Exorcist -type movie brought in 17.7 million, while Shia LaBeouf’s Lawless pulled in enough for the No. 2 spot.

    The Expendables 2, which sat at the top of the box office charts for two straight weeks, landed at No. 3.

    The biggest box office upset this weekend comes from The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure. Its grand sum of $445,089 is the 12th-lowest of all-time for a wide-release debut.

    The Dark Knight Rises just became the 11th movie to reach the one billion dollar-mark at the movies. The flick reportedly brought in more than the original Dark Knight with $431.4 million brought in domestically at home and $577.7 million internationally.
