Keith Urban has officially joined the next season of American Idol, one report says…Sources confirm the country megastar has inked a deal to judge season 12 of the hit show alongside Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and a fourth judge likely not to be Randy Jackson.

Brad Paisley was also in negotiations to join the show, but a deal could not be reached, the source confirms in the same article.

Just one day ago, The Hollywood Reporter first reported that Keith as well as Nicki Minaj were nearing the end of their negotiations to join the show.

Keith, who’s a former mentor on Australia’s version of The Voice, will take home $3 million to judge one season of Idol, while Nicki’s paycheck is rumored to be $8.5 million.

If rumors stating Randy Jackson will return to the show as a mentor are true, another new face will join the judging panel. Latin star Enrique Iglesias is also said to be in talks to join the show.

American Idol premieres January 2013.
