Kellie Pickler is showing some skin this month on the cover of the special Maxim Salutes the Military edition of Maxim magazine.

The country star reveals to the mag that after a whopping five USO tours, it’s easy for people to mistake her for a real member of the military.

“I go through the airport with the official military travel backpacks,” she says, “and people will come up and say, “˜Thank you for your service.’ I’m like, “˜Oh, no. Don’t let these bags fool you. I’m just a big supporter!’”

She may not be an official member of the military, but she has shot some pretty official artillery, including M16s and .50-caliber grenade launchers.

“I shot all the guns on the Black Hawks. Hundreds of bullets come out at a time. It’s crazy,” she says.

Kellie also reveals each star tattooed on her left arm represent a USO tour.
