Zac Brown Band is no stranger to surprise musical collaborations, and the all-star duets are a surprise to all parties involved!

In a new Walmart Soundcheck interview, the boys in the band reveal they’ve been known to trick a few of their most successful duet partners into collaborating with them.

“They don’t even know they’re collaborating with us when they record it,” says the band’s Jimmy de Martini. “We know they are, but they don’t know it.”

The band’s new album Uncaged, which topped both the Billboard Country Albums and all-genre Top 200 charts this week, features an R&B collaboration with Trombone Shorty in addition to another track with folk-rock singer Amos Lee.

Country icon Alan Jackson sung on “As She’s Walking Away” on the band’s 2010 album You Get What You Give.
