The first 20 shows for Garth Brooks at the Wynn Hotel sold out very quickly Saturday and put the Wynn hotel phone system to the test.

With thousands of calls pouring in, the phonelines quickly jammed. It is being reported that 141,934 calls were answered by the resort’s phone system. After the phones jammed, callers only received a busy signal. The Wynn website got nearly 5.4 million hits in just one day. The shows are from December to February.

When Garth announced the show with Steve Wynn, they both discussed how scalpers would be stopped from buying up the tickets and re-selling them at higher prices. One scalper was caught using 42 different credit cards to purchase 6 tickets with each. All of his tickets were released.
