PAISLEY TEARS UP IN FRONT OF PRESIDENT
Posted: Jul 22, 2009

In his opening remarks, President Obama said that he appreciated country music and he even quoted one country star saying, “Dierks Bentley called country, ‘the best shrink fifteen bucks can buy.’” During his performance, Paisley got a little teary-eyed when singing “Welcome to the Future” which he wrote about the election. Paisley said that it was a songwriter’s dream to write a song about a current event and then perform it for the person it is about.
