A statement was released today that confirm the rumors that Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley was legally married to Cassie McConnell in Nashville earlier this week. Reports say that the wedding ceremony will take place at a later date. A statement released by Kelley’s publicist says, “It was a legal formality in preparation for their upcoming destination wedding ceremony and celebration that is planned for the coming weeks.”

Kelley proposed to McConnell last December after being together for more than 2 years. McConnell is a Nashville-based publicist who represents several artists, including Jake Owen and her new brother-in-law, pop singer Josh Kelley.
