Alan Jackson has officially put his 19,000 square foot home on the market for $38 million. The 6 bedroom estate has a lake, three ponds, horse stables, gymnasium, 20-car garage, 2-bedroom log cabin overlooking the river, a barn with 2 bedrooms upstairs, and airplane landing pad and so much more. Jackson says since his girls are getting older, they are spending more time on the phone or on their iPods in their bedrooms. Jackson says that if he had boys, they would be outside fishing and running around, but the family just is not using the property.

It has been announced that Miley Cyrus will be starring alongside Hugh Jackman in a “tween version” of the film The Bodyguard. The film will be about a New York City police detective who is forced into bodyguard duty for a spoiled teen heiress who has received a kidnap threat. No other details have been released.

KEITH & DIERKS TOP AIRPLAY

According to Country Aircheck’s mid-year airplay report, Dierks Bentley trails only Keith Urban as the most played male artist on country radio so far this year.

Bentley is currently celebrating his second consecutive #1 single on Billboard’s Country Singles chart. This is his seventh overall top single. Congrats, Dierks!

JULIANNE HOUGH IN FOOTLOOSE?

With more and more stories being reported about whether or not Julianne Hough has landed the role as the lead in Footloose, another has come up. It is being reported that movie executives have told Hough that she needs to take acting lessons in order to get ready for the role. As a professional dancing and singer, she needs to polish her acting chops before shooting begins in March of 2010. If Hough lands the role, it will be her first in a major motion film. She will star opposite Chace Crawford, star of the hit series Gossip Girl.

MICHAEL JACKSON DEAD

Michael Jackson, who made his initial mark in the pop world as the singer of the Jackson 5, has died in a Los Angeles hospital. Reports say that the King of Pop went into cardiac arrest in his L.A. home and was unable to be revived by paramedics. Jackson was 50. Read More→

SUMMER’S BEST BEACH BODIES

Hugh Jackman and Kim Kardashian have been named the two hottest beach bodies this summer. According to a poll taken on Popeater, Kardashian won the poll with 13% of 2.2 million votes, barely beating out Jessica Biel who received 12% of the vote. Jackman took 20% of his poll, edging out Matthew McConaughey and Taylor Lautner.

JONAS BROTHER TAUNTS TAYLOR

The Jonas Brothers already showcased a song on their latest album that talks about Joe Jonas getting over his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift. At a concert last night in Oklahoma, Joe changed some lyrics in order to make it clear he was over Taylor. Instead of singing “now I’m done with super stars,” he sang, “now I’m done with country stars.”

Breaking News! Jon & Kate Gosselin of Jon & Kate Plus 8 have just filed for divorce. According to People.com, the couple filed the paperwork at a Pennsylvania courthouse earlier today. The couple has been married for 10 years and has eight children and a reality show together. No other details have been released at this time.
